Diaz, born in Scotia, New York, joined the LPGA tour in 1999. In her best season yet — 2002 — she scored ten finishes in the “Top Ten” and won both the Welch’s/Circle K Championship and
the LPGA Corning Classic. A determined athlete, she became the second player in history to compete in the Solheim Cup while pregnant and won a point for the victorious U.S. team. After giving birth to a healthy boy in 2006, she was back in competition two months later. As of April 2008, Diaz ranked 7th
on the tour with two “Top Ten” finishes. |

A truly international champion, JJ won Japan’s most coveted major, the Japan Women’s Open, in October 2006. This spring, she ranked 6th on the leaderboard in the still-young 2008 season. |
