Events and ProgramsUpcoming events: Gender in the Military: Bridging Research to Practice Please join us on October 9-11, 2013 for a three-day discussion about gender issues that affect military-involved families, including: interpersonal violence and gender-based trauma, parenting and childcare during deployment, reproductive health, masculinity and military identity, gender identity and policies regarding transgender individuals, sexual orientation and same-sex relationships. The Gender in the Military Conference will coincide with the 2013 Stanton/Anthony Luncheon and Conversations during Meliora Weekend. Anthony Center for Women's Leadership joined the National Council of Women of the United States in their offices in New York City to open a "Woman Suffrage Party" safe. Anthony's birthday and pay tribute to her efforts to win women admission
to the University. The Susan B. Anthony Scholarship and Prize, the
Fannie Bigelow Prize, the Jane Plitt Award, the Susan B. Anthony Lifetime
Achievement Award and more are presented at the Dinner. Sexual Assault Prevention and Awareness Conference Engage in a critical dialogue about sex assault, focused on campus resources and means of prevention. Justice Involved Women Conference Researchers, practitioners and policy makers will present their work to
disseminate evidence-based practices and interventions for justice
involved women. Other discussion topics will include the state of the
science, difficulties for informing practice, funding challenges and
solutions for justice involved women. LPGA Conversations with Champions Join LPGA players as they speak about their lives on the road as international competitors.
