How to Apply: A Step By Step Guide

If you are ready to apply to the Warner School, this section provides general details, instructions, and forms to walk you though the application process.

1. Getting Started
The Warner School is a highly selective graduate institution committed to a personalized admissions process that evaluates the whole candidate. Based on the information provided by the applicant, a portfolio assessment is used to evaluate his/her “fit” with the specific program to which s/he is applying as well as with the Warner mission. GRE scores are not required. However if you would like to report your scores to us, our code is 2928. Applicants are encouraged to review Criteria for Admission.

2. Admissions Counseling & Information Sessions
Warner strongly encourages all applicants to take advantage of pre-application admissions counseling. The Office of Admissions offers day and evening appointments for counseling and campus visits, and in some cases, can arrange for applicants to sit in on classes and meet with current students. In addition, the Warner School hosts Information Receptions throughout the year to give applicants an opportunity to learn more about Warner’s programs, see the campus, and meet the faculty and staff. Application workshops are also offered the month prior to each deadline. View current Admissions Events.

3. Application Downloads & Submission
To begin your application process, download the application forms and follow the steps to Submitting Your Application. You will need Adobe Acrobat to view the forms. All applications must be postmarked by the appropriate deadline. View cycle of Deadlines for specific information. If you need assistance, contact the Office of Admissions.

4. Final Steps
Submit your completed application by the deadline. After the application is submitted, you may be invited in for an interview.

Note: Applicants for master's in teaching secondary education must complete a transcript review form for your intended area. Bring the completed review form to your admission interview. Go to Teacher Preparation Assessment Forms to select and download the correct transcript review form.

5. Notification of Admission
All applicants will be notified of Warner’s admission and financial award decisions, by mail, approximately eight weeks after the application deadline. In addition, admitted students will receive an official Offer of Admission, which must be signed and returned to Warner with an enrollment deposit before registering for coursework.
