Bonnie Rubenstein

 

Profile

Bonnie Rubenstein is a tireless leader in the counseling field, balancing the demands of being a district leader; teaching the next generation of counselors; and consulting with school districts and educational institutions. She is the Director of Counseling for the Rochester City School District, coordinating and supervising counseling services for 34,000 students district-wide. At the Warner School, she teaches courses in school counseling and career development.

Rubenstein has studied the impact of divorce on teenagers’ home lives and on non-school skill development. She has worked intensively in career development and on “School is Work” projects. She has co-authored several articles and has written career software for The College Board. Recently, she has studied the effects of grief and loss on school children and her work has been published in Prayers of Memory: A Journal About Grief and Loss.
