Get Real! Science Action Camp
Over one week in the summer, middle school students in the Rochester area have the chance to do real scientific work and assume the roles of media producers, directors, editors, and script writers to share their findings with the community.
International Coastal Clean-Up
- We've participated in this international effort by cleaning up Rochester's waterways every year since 2003. Come join us!
Science STARS (Students Tackling Authentic & Relevant Science)
Working with the Rochester Museum and Science Center, this all-girls club began in Fall 2003. They studied Irondequoit Creek in Ellison Park. This upcoming fall 2008 Science STARS will continue as we have since 2005 - as an all-girls, middle school science club. Get Real! Science teachers will work with them on Science Thursdays at WMHS Foundation Academy. The focus of these meetings will be to use inquiry-based science to make the world a better place.

In all events and programs, Get Real students and teachers are engaged in hands-on work.
They work with specialized equipment...
