Luehmann Publishes Study on Teachers' Use of Blogging in The Journal of Learning Sciences

April Luehmann, assistant professor of teaching and curriculum at the Warner School of Education, is author of a new article, “Using Blogging in Support of Teacher Professional Identity Development: A Case Study,” that appeared in The Journal of Learning Sciences, a high-impact journal in education.

Freedom School Students Merge Science, Literacy at Get Real! Camp

Thirty-five middle school students from Rochester’s Freedom School, a literacy school offering summer school classes to children in distressed neighborhoods, will have the opportunity to conduct hands-on science investigations to answer real environmental problems in their hometown area.

Genesee Valley Writing Project, The College at Brockport Partner to Offer New Bilingual Literacy Component to Summer Institute

Eighteen local educators participating in the 2008 Genesee Valley Writing Project Summer Institute will have the opportunity to explore bilingual literacy education thanks to a $15,000 Research Foundation grant through The College at Brockport State University of New York.
