Second Annual "American History as Dialogue"

The Warner School and Monroe #1 BOCES are co-sponsoring the second American History as Dialogue Summer Institute to be held July 14-18 and 22-24. The project is directed by Ellen Santora, assistant professor, teaching and curriculum, and funded by the U.S. Department of Education's Teaching American History Grant Program.

This year's institute, Into the Mainstream: Including Women in American History, will examine critical issues related to women in the American Revolution, the Industrial Revolution, Social Reform, and the Cold War Era. Participants will reflect on the creation of historical understanding using rare books, records, documents, and oral histories and will develop standards-based curriculum modules for use in their own classes.

For additional information, contact Ellen Santora at (585) 275-5053 or learn more about the American History as Dialogue.
