Martone Receives Outstanding Educator Award
Cynthia Martone, doctoral student in educational leadership,
has received the Outstanding Educator Award from the School
Administrators Association of New York State (SAANYS). The
award is given annually to a New York State school administrator
who has shown outstanding leadership in public education,
contributed noteworthy writing and/or research in the field
of education, and has given exemplary service in professional
organizations.
Martone is the principal at Holmes Road Elementary School
in Greece. In addition, she works as a reviewer for Corwin
Press and serves on the editorial board of Vanguard magazine
(a SAANYS publication).
Lynch Named NYSAEYC Member of the Year
Christina Lynch, a master's student in educational leadership,
has been named a "Champion for Children" New York
State Association for the Education of Young Children Member
of the Year. She was recognized for her support of the development
of professionals to promote quality care and education for
the well-being of all young children and their families.
Steed Named Coordinator of Student Teaching
Amy Steed, doctoral student in teaching and curriculum, has
been named the coordinator of student teaching at the Warner
School as part of her assistantship.
