A diverse panel of area education experts joined Raffaella
Borasi, dean, September 10 at the Memorial Art Gallery to
discuss contemporary issues in education. Sponsored by the
College's Alumni Office, the luncheon event invited alumni
and parents to learn more about what techniques have worked,
what has not, and what is planned for the future in the field
of education.
Panelists included Walter Cooper '57 (Ph.D.), regent emeritus,
University of the State of New York; Kim Dyce '97 (MA), special
assistant to the superintendent, Rochester City School District;
Malik Evans, '02, youth advocate and school board candidate,
Rochester City School District; Margaret Keller-Cogan '96
(Ed.D.), assistant superintendent for curriculum and instruction,
Greece Central School District; and Henry J. Peris, '84 (Ph.D.),
superintendent of schools, Brighton Central School District.
