Anne Perrault, Preparing Tomorrow's
Teachers to Use Technology (PT3) director welcomed Catherine
Thurston, PT3 director at the University of Illinois College
of Education, to Warner, for a collaborative exchange in November.
Participating in the exchange were various faculty members
and Raffaella Borasi, dean. The purpose of the exchange was
to share innovative practices, information, and ideas for
improving the technological proficiency of future teachers
and faculty.
As part of the exchange, Thurston visited Holmes Road Elementary
School in Greece, one of nine PT3 demonstration sites partnered
with Warner. Thurston also heard presentations from various
faculty on several new technology integration courses, as
well as upgrades on technological resources at Warner.
The Warner School looks forward to continued collaboration
with the University of Illinois College of Education. The
2003 conference of the National Association of Counselor Educators
and Supervisors was held in Canandaigua, N.Y. in October.
Kathryn Douthit, assistant professor, counseling and human
development, was the site coordinator, and many Warner faculty
and students presented at the conference.
