The Warner School will host a a workshop on “Education and Social Activism,” Feb. 6 from 5-7 p.m., at the Margaret Warner Graduate School of Education and Human Development, Dewey Hall Room 1-101, The University of Rochester River Campus.

On Jan. 27, the Warner School held a colloquium to address the question of “What Constitutes Research for Social Justice?” All events are part of the Warner School’s Martin Luther King Jr. Education Series.

Education and racism was the topic of the first session in the series, a panel discussion held Jan. 19. The panel included individuals from educational, political, and community contexts who addressed the issues of school segregation, the legacy of the Brown vs. Board of Education decision, and the influence of racism on public education today.
