Mandatory Meeting for Students in Field Placements


Welcome Students!

On Wednesday, August 25, 2004, you are expected to participate in Foundations in Field Placements and Student Teaching. This is a MANDATORY EVENT if you are registered for a Field Placement and/or Student Teaching in either general or inclusive settings. The program will begin at 5 p.m. and continue until 8 p.m. in Dewey 1-101. Students, faculty, supervisors and presenters will meet as a large group for the first portion of meeting and then each discipline will break into separate groups.

If you are pursuing Inclusive Certification and have registered for inclusive field placements, you are required to attend a full-day workshop on Thursday, August 26, 2004 starting at 9 a.m. in Dewey 1-305. The Thursday workshop is mandatory for all students in inclusive settings who will be receiving Inclusive Certification now or anytime in the future. The requirements for Inclusive Certification and Inclusive field placements will be discussed in detail during this workshop.

If you have not already given me a copy of your resume, please e-mail it to me prior to the meeting or bring it with you on the 25th. Also, please bring your student teaching handbook with you and come prepared to ask any questions you might have regarding field placements or student teaching.
