Martina Named Visiting Fellow
Warner doctoral student Camille Martina has recently been
appointed Visiting Fellow in the Graduate School of Education
at the University of Bristol, United Kingdom. Her appointment
runs through January 2005.
Aguilar Appointed Graduate Fellow for Presidential
Advisory Committee
Warner doctoral student Cecelia Aguilar spent the summer in
Washington, DC as a graduate fellow in the White House Initiative
on Educational Excellence for Hispanic Americans. Her responsibilities
included researching projects; attending conferences and presentations
that are relevant for the education of Hispanic Americans;
and establishing contact with other researchers and institutions
that are interested in Hispanic issues.
Avery, Nobles Present at Consortium
In June, Warner master's students Kate Avery and Alisa Nobles
presented their work in "More than a research paper:
Using real classroom experiences to link to a project with
practice," at the English Language Learner Consortium
in Rochester. Mary Jane Curry, assistant professor, co-chaired
the panel discussion.
