Warner Admissions Applications Hit an All-Time High

Warner faculty members are currently in the process of reviewing applications to determine next year’s enrolling class. This year, the office of admissions received a record high of 207 applications for the February cycle, a 51 percent increase from last year’s 136 applications for this time period.

The increased number of applications is due to more aggressive recruiting efforts, specifically with regard to Warner’s representation at graduate and professional fairs in and around the Rochester area. In addition, the admissions department’s marketing strategy deals with more direct promotion, offering more information sessions and an increased focus on data mining Web sites.

Dean Raffaella Borasi is very pleased with both the number and quality of applications. “The admissions and communications staff as well as faculty have been working very hard to further promote the school by reaching potential students and letting them know what we have to offer,” said Borasi. “The number of outstanding candidates across the Warner School programs is overwhelming and these early results are very encouraging. Better than ever, we are able to prepare the next generation of practitioners and researchers that can make a difference in education.”

Over 300 interviews are in process of being conducted with acceptance letters being mailed in the near future.
