The Democrat and Chronicle published a Speaking Out essay written by Susan Hetherington, assistant professor, in the February 26, 2007 issue. Her opinion article titled “Breadth of autism ‘spectrum’ poses challenges for teachers” was written in response to the newest federal study on the increasing prevalence of Autism Spectrum Disorders.
