Dwelling in Possibility: The Past, Future, and Now of Inclusive Schooling

Kluth will examine the history and current state of inclusive schooling. She will discuss a vision for the future of inclusive schooling and specifically what beliefs, values, and practices associated with inclusion will help educators succeed in educating, challenging, motivating, and supporting all learners.

Kluth is an independent educational consultant and adjunct instructor at National-Louis University in Chicago.  Her professional and research interests center on differentiating instruction and on supporting students with autism and significant disabilities in inclusive classrooms. She earned an M.Ed. in Educational Policy from the Harvard Graduate School of Education and a Ph.D. in Special Education from the University of Wisconsin. She is a former special educator who has served as a classroom teacher, consulting teacher, and inclusion facilitator.

The event is sponsored by the Mid-West Regional Consortium on Quality Inclusive Schooling, Nazareth College, and the Warner School.
