Educational systems differ from country to country, state
to state, and nation to nation. Learning about different educational
systems brings to light ways in which one can improve their
own schools’ policies, practices and instructional strategies.
Additionally, it highlights aspects of one’s own schooling
that are otherwise overlooked.
The Warner School is fortunate to have students who have
lived and learned in countries all over the world. At this
Tuesday’s lunch hour, six Warner School students will
provide insights into educational systems that they themselves
have experienced, either as teachers or students. Each panelist
will speak for about five minutes, and there will be a 20
minute question and answer session.
The panelists and the countries they are presenting on are
listed below:
- Cecilia Rios- Mexico
- Paula Morris- Jamaica
- Akhtar Ghassemi- Iran
- Malathi Rangan- India
- Ching Hung Hsiao- China
- Peter Abas- Philippines
Light snacks and drinks will be provided.
