Genesee Valley Writing Project Featured in the Catholic Courier

The Warner School’s Genesee Valley Writing Project (GVWP), which is directed by Ruthanne Vitagliano, assistant professor at the Warner School, was featured in a July 25 Catholic Courier article, “Rochester School District to Reshape Its Bilingual-Education Program.” A new grant through The College at Brockport State University of New York helped to create a new bilingual literacy education component to this year’s GVWP Summer Institute. The Catholic Courier features this year’s GVWP Summer Institute throughout the article and in accompanying photos and quotes a couple of GVWP fellows on the importance of bilingual education in improving student performance and learning.
