Dale
Dannefer, professor, counseling and human development, co-organized "Tracking
the Trek: Studying Culture Change," and co-presented, along with
Craig Barclay, associate professor and associate dean, and Paul Stein,
Warner doctoral student, "ARRIVE: A New Approach for Action Research
with Elders" at the Pioneer Network 2002 conference in Chicago in
August. Dale also was a co-organizer of the conference "Blurred Genres
of Reflexive Theorizing in Social Gerontology," and presented "Toward
a Global Geography of the Life Course" at the annual meeting of the
Gerontological Society of America in Boston in November.

Appointed Consulting Editor
Lucia
French, associate professor, teaching and curriculum, was recently appointed
consulting editor for Early Childhood Research Quarterly, the research-based
publication of the National Association for the Education of Young Children.

Mackie
Collaborates with Spencerport Family Support Center
Karen
Mackie, outreach coordinator for counseling, Warner Center for Professional
Development and Education Reform, is collaborating with the Spencerport
School District to implement a newly funded initiative which brings comprehensive,
community-based mental health support services to the students and families
in the district.
