New Mathematics Standards, Warner Grant Featured in D&C Article

A front page story in the November 18, 2002 Democrat and Chronicle featured new math programs at Penfield, Brighton, Greece, and Rush-Henrietta school districts. The article examined new state standards in mathematics, and discussed methods that educators are now beginning to use to meet those standards.

The Warner School recently received a $2.4 million grant to help the districts phase in the new programs. Judi Fonzi, director of the Warner Center for Professional Development and Education Reform, is the principal investigator of the five-year project.
