Douthit Recognized by NARACES
Kathryn Douthit, assistant professor, counseling and human development, was recognized in the Fall/Winter issue of the North Atlantic Regional Association of Counselor Educators and Supervisors (NARACES) newsletter for making a significant contribution to the Association and to the counseling profession.

The newsletter points out that Douthit earned her master's degree in microbiology and immunology before earning a master's in counseling and a doctorate in human development. "Her unique vision mirrors the Warner School philosophy of integrating theory with practice," notes the article.

Douthit is a representative of the Doctoral Student Committee of NARACES and was the on-site coordinator of the 2003 NARACES conference in Canandaigua, NY.

Kirschenbaum Contributes to "Unusual Cases"
Howard Kirschenbaum, chair of counseling and human development, is a contributor to the recently published book The Mummy at the Dining Room Table: Eminent Therapists Reveal Their Most Unusual Cases (Wiley, John & Sons, Incorporated, January 2003). In the book, over 30 well known practitioners recount the most memorable case histories of their careers. Each chapter gives a behind-the-scenes look at how therapists work with clients whose problems and behaviors aren't found in standard psychology textbooks. Kirschenbaum contributed the chapter titled The client who wanted his therapist to be someone else.
