Martone Hosts Uruguayan Administrators

Cynthia Martone Cynthia Martone, a doctoral student in educational leadership and the principal of Holmes Road Elementary School in Greece, hosted two school administrators from Uruguay from February 4 through February 22 as part of the Fulbright Administrator Exchange Program. She is one of about 20 elementary school principals across the U.S. taking part in the program.

The purpose of the exchange is to help administrators strengthen local school systems through observation of classes, schools, and community activities. They will examine educational issues that include school administration, curriculum development, active learning, classroom management, technology in the classroom, and parental involvement.

While visiting, the administrators also attended three of Assistant Professor Mike Wischnowski's Managing Conflict classes with Martone, and were active participants in classroom discussions.
