Meet Tim Moore

Tim MooreTim Moore may be new to the Warner School, but he's no stranger to the field of education. His wife, Helen, is a preschool teacher at Holy Trinity Elementary School in Webster and he has three "consumers" of the education system at home, sons Sean, age 12, Patrick, 11, and Dennis, 8. He plans to use his business background in human resources and cost management _ gleaned from seven years at Eastman Kodak Company and as an independent management consultant _ to help the School achieve some of its goals of creating more user-friendly operations through the use of technology and by streamlining operations to create a more agile, efficient system. "I was looking for a change and this opportunity meshed well with my long-term interest in education and educational administration," says Moore.

Since he arrived in May he has immersed himself in the recently-launched database integration project (see story below) and collaborated with other professionals inside and beyond the Warner School to create specifications for a new server that will allow faculty and staff to work more flexibly and collaboratively, and with the security of a more dependable backup system. While Moore admits that his biggest challenge will be to convince staff and faculty to view things in an integrated, systemic way, he is optimistic. "I'm very pleased with the reception I`ve received at the Warner School. The faculty and staff are a very dedicated and hardworking group. I'm very hopeful that our initiatives will give them the support they need to make their day-to-day operations more effective."
