Master of Science (M.S.) in Counseling & Human Development with a concentration in Community Mental Health Counseling
(ISIS code: CM1)

The Community Mental Health Counseling Program requires 60 credits and 1,000 clock hours of supervised practicum and internship. If you complete this program you will be able to apply independently for the NYS licensure as a Mental Health Counselor (must also complete a licensure exam and 3,000 post-master's hours of supervised experience).

Internships can be done in two semesters (450 hours x 2) or three semesters (300 hours x 3)

EDF 458 Supervised Internship in Community Mental Health Counseling I- (300 clock hours)

V. Additional Requirements

Master's Thesis - completed prior to graduation, currently with Master's Internship II (0)
