The Warner School offers doctoral programs in School Administration, Higher Education, and Leadership, Thought, and Policy.

Students interested in advancing in administrative careers in K-12 schools may pursue the Ed.D. in Educational Administration, which includes optional coursework to pursue New York State administrative certificates. This advanced administration program takes an interdisciplinary approach to the study of educational leadership. In addition to courses in various areas of administration, students explore the history, sociology, and philosophy of education.

Doctoral programs in Higher Education offer a disciplinary and humanistic approach to the study of postsecondary education. They draw upon the academic disciplines and encourage students to reflect upon the fundamental ends, purposes, and rationales for postsecondary education. Students complete courses in historical, philosophical, legal, sociological, and organizational perspectives on higher education, as well as research methodology. In conjunction with those courses, students undertake a focused program of elective courses designed to prepare them to write a dissertation on a significant topic of interest concerning post-secondary education.

Leadership, Thought, and Policy offers an interdisciplinary course of study spanning the domains of educational thought and educational policy studies grounded in the disciplines of economics and law.
