What kind of educator do you want to be?
The Warner School takes an interdisciplinary approach to all
of its programs and courses. Warner strives to prepare English
teachers who are thoughtful and reflective practitioners and
whose choices are informed by knowledge of multiple theories
and approaches within the field. The teaching and learning
of English involves more than acquiring an isolated set of
language skills, and our graduates are committed to engaging
students, enabling them to study the English language, literature,
and multiple literacies.
The Warner School's programs are flexible to accommodate
the interests of individual students. Through coursework,
field experiences, and projects, programs can be tailored
to focus on a specific certification area or multiple areas.
