Writing Consultants

Jennifer King is a consultant in Writing Support Services. She is a doctoral student in Teaching & Curriculum.    
     
Burke Scarbrough is a doctoral student in Teaching & Curriculum. He earned a master's degree in English Education from Teachers College and has taught in New
York City Public Schools and at Phillips Exeter Academy. His research interests focus on classroom culture in K-12 humanities classrooms and how
teachers enculturate power relationships and develop learners' dispositions through routines and aesthetics. This focus includes a study of the role of "classroom
management" in these spaces as well as "best practices" in reading and writing instruction.
  Burke Scarbrough
     
Rachel Chaffee is a doctoral student in Teaching and Curriculum. She earned a master’s degree in English from SUNY Brockport and has taught College Composition and Academic Writing and Research courses at Roberts Wesleyan College and Monroe Community College. Her research interests include academic writing in higher education in relation to gender, dis/ability and personal narrative within a critical pedagogical approach.
