The Warner Center for Professional Development and Education
Reform is committed to being a resource and stimulus for educators
to grow and continue to improve.
Through outreach, research projects, and professional development,
the Warner Center staff is deeply involved in education and
aware of the challenges facing educators today. Among its
staff are experts in curriculum development, consultation,
supervision, and instructional materials, research procedures,
systemic reform, and professional development that leads to
improvement of educational practice. Staff at the Warner Center
lead important research projects in local schools and other
educating organizations--projects that have great importance
and impact education initiatives across the nation.
The Warner Center's activities aim to help shape the future
of education and serve as a catalyst to initiate new practices,
new understandings, new curricula, and new work in all areas
of education. Professional development opportunities, in the
form of seminars and workshops, are offered to provide a foundation
for growth and discovery that leads to systemic reform. The
Warner Center believes that this foundation can be used to
find new ways to improve education through partnerships with
community agencies and schools that create new initiatives.
The Warner Center's mission is
"... to foster and support research-based innovative
professional practice and systemic change in educational environments.
This is accomplished through professional development and
systemic reform initiatives informed by current research and
collaboration with participants."
