and Maximizing Impact”
Location
Airport Holiday Inn

Rochester, NY
Date
January 26, 2005 (snow date January 28, 2005)
Overview
This year’s conference theme reflects the reality that times are difficult economically and emotionally, yet expectations for achievement are high. Counselors are learning to be more resourceful than ever in how they go about accomplishing their program goals when everyone is stressed and resources are limited. Collaboration with other partners is key to using resources wisely and accomplishing their work.
Sessions will address the skills and dispositions involved in developing greater resourcefulness as counselors engage in wise collaboration with a broad spectrum of educational and community partners to serve children’s needs. The morning will be devoted to developing skills and strategies that can produce collaborative outcomes for counselors and clients, such as interdisciplinary training. For the afternoon, sessions that assist counselors in sustaining self-care practices as they carry out collaborative work in the school and community are featured.
