An Anniversary in Old Vienna
The Viennese Ball, one of the University’s most popular traditions, opened its doors last November for the 20th anniversary of the black-tie event. Students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members waltzed in Wilson Commons, which was transformed for the evening into a bit of “old Vienna.” The University Chamber Orchestra and University Chamber Singers performed well-known pieces by Johann Strauss and other favorite works. Proceeds from the ball benefit the chamber singers and the chamber orchestra, who sponsor the event.
