Simon School Early Leaders

Students entering the Simon Graduate School of Business straight from their undergraduate education can participate in the Early Leaders Program like Kevin Howell did. The program is designed to fast track students straight from their bachelor's program into Simon's M.B.A. program.

There were two exciting developments in the Simon Graduate School of Business's Early Leaders program this year.

Early Leaders is designed to fast track students straight from a bachelor's program into Simon's M.B.A. program, and the staff at Simon improved their ability to do that in 2006 by establishing Direct Admission Partnerships (D.A.P.). Colleges that are part of the D.A.P. program pinpoint students who would be good matches for the Simon Early Leaders program, and help them connect with Simon.

Simon has the partnerships with 25 liberal arts colleges and universities, including the University of Rochester.

In spring 2007, the Early Leaders Case Competition—supported by a gift from Ed Hajim '58, chairman and C.E.O. of MLH Capital and a University trustee—gave potential Early Leaders a shot at a scholarship. In the competition, teams of students solve problems designed to simulate decisions faced by business leaders across the globe.

The competition had more than 50 participants from a variety of schools.
