This year, the New York legislature voted to provide $50 million in support of the Medical Center’s Clinical and Translational Science Building. The funding announcement followed the 2006 NIH award of $40 million for the project. The new facility, one of the first of its kind in the nation, will create an integrated home for clinical and translational science and will serve as the hub of a network of personnel and resources dedicated to moving new technologies quickly into the clinical realm.
