Long term parking: Accessible parking spaces designated for individuals with disabilities are identified on the map. Parking in these accessible parking spaces requires both a paid University parking permit and a municipally issued accessible parking permit. Individuals may obtain municipally issued permits from their local town clerk upon the submission of a request by a private physician.
Short-term parking: The University Parking Offices will issue temporary permits for access to parking spaces designated to patrons in obvious need (using a wheelchair, crutches, etc.) or who have a doctor's note requesting parking access. Temporary permits will be issued for up to 30 days. Patrons with moderate health/mobility issues may purchase a permit for 'upgraded' parking. After review and recommendation from UHS, a patron is issued a permit to park in upgraded lots. The upgraded permit provides authorization for parking in the specific areas indicated on the permit. Consumers must pay any associated costs. Dual permits for parking at both the River Campus and Medical Center are available as well.
