Show Us Your Town: San Francisco

Some 3,500 alumni and friends will tell you that amazing views, stellar food, and cultural activities abound in the Bay Area. We asked six alumni “guides” to show us their favorite spots and share how they stay connected to their alma mater.

National arts leader, Emil Kang ’90 took his first job as a gallery receptionist and made it his own, helping him hone his ability to interpret and evaluate art.

 

Introducing The Rochester Effect

You will soon start seeing communications about The Rochester Effect. Launched at Meliora Weekend, this powerful campaign showcases the myriad ways Rochester is advancing knowledge to improve humankind. Starting in November and continuing throughout 2019, Rochester Effect events will occur in 10 cities and in one international location. See the cities and register to attend an event here. Share how you are making the world ever better by publicly posting to social media and tagging #RochesterEffect.

 

In Memory: Paul Burgett

A public memorial service for University Vice President Emeritus and University Dean Emeritus Paul Burgett ’68E, ’76E (PhD) will be held Tuesday, November 13 at 4 p.m. in Strong Auditorium. A reception will follow in Feldman Ballroom, Douglass Commons. Organizers request that you register if you’d like to attend. The service is open to all, and will also be streamed live on the memorial website.

This Saturday, men’s soccer, women’s soccer, women’s field hockey, and men’s and women’s cross country teams all take on opponents across the Northeast as they advance in their respective NCAA championship tournaments.
