Mt. Hope Family Center works tirelessly to employ innovative concepts to help build strong, healthy family and peer relationships. They are guided by the discipline of developmental psychopathology and have become international leaders in maltreatment research. Mt. Hope Family Center provides intervention and prevention services and offers evidence-based therapies to more than 800 at-risk children and families annually.
Your gift to the Mt. Hope Family Center can support many of our initiatives, including:
- Prevention and Intervention Programs – Funding for intervention programs in the areas of family functioning, parenting, resolving conflict, coping with violence and other stresses, and in interpersonal relationships in children.
- Research – Focusing on elucidating developmental processes in normal and abnormal development forming a foundation for translating knowledge gained into prevention and intervention initiatives and applying that knowledge into effective treatment strategies.
- Training and Education – Internships for undergraduate students during the academic year as counselors in the After School Programs as well as during the summer in the Summer Camp Program.
