School of Medicine

There are many exciting things happening at the School of Medicine and Dentistry that would not have come to fruition without the generous support of alumni, friends, community leaders, faculty and staff. We are always on the lookout for approaches that will enable us to provide an exceptional education, training, and research experience. We must be able to retain the best and brightest faculty and take advantage of exciting changes in technology. We also need to increase research and scholarship opportunities in order to expand the number of faculty, residents and students involved in quality outcomes and patient-oriented research. You can help with these important initiatives and so much more by making a gift today.

Ayala Danzig
Medical Student, CC3

"Becoming a member of the URMC community has been a great privilege; enabling me to embrace the rigor of my medical studies while feeling supported and cared for by both my peers and the faculty. The emphasis on humanities in medicine and maintaining an active life outside of the classroom has made my experience more dynamic than I could have imagined."

“The UR School of Medicine and Dentistry’s MD/PhD program has been an incredible opportunity for me. For me, the school's greatest resources are its students and faculty — and the organizations they lead, including the MD/PhD program itself."

Kyle Koster
MD/PhD Student

Jennifer Stripay
PhD Student
Neuroscience Graduate Program

"The prestigious reputation of the University of Rochester initially drove me to explore its biomedical science graduate programs. I was immediately impressed with the collaborative and innovative nature of the research going on across the medical center. I have been consistently challenged and inspired by my colleagues and mentors."

"Following medical school at URSMD, I was ready to face the challenges and inspiring opportunities to help heal others as a neurosurgery resident. Initially, the transition from medical school to residency felt surreal, as I now had the privilege to serve as a doctor in this community. Each day my confidence as a neurosurgeon grows as I learn from my colleagues, senior residents, and attending neurosurgeons."

Clifford Andre Pierre MD '14
