Facility Reservations

The River Campus Sports Complex serves as a multi-purpose facility which accomodates the students, faculty/staff, and the community. The facility is available for limited rental to service special events. A description of the River Campus Sports Complex is available at our Facilities page.

Building Regulations

Membership: You must be a matriculated, full-time, undergraduate or graduate student or an R Club member.

Entering the Complex: You must have a valid UR I.D. in order to activate the turnstiles and enter the building. The main entrance to the Goergen Athletic Center is facing Dandelion Square along Library Road. Members who are less than 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult member.

Reserving Racquet Courts: Call (585) 275-7643 option #2 (9:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.) one day in advance to reserve indoor tennis, racquetball, and squash courts. Reservations are limited to one hour playing time per day for singles and/or doubles. Outdoor courts at the Peter Lyman Tennis Center are available on a first come, first served basis unless reserved by programs sponsored by Athletics & Recreation.

UR Groups: Recognized sports groups may reserve facilities, lounges, and meeting rooms. Coaches and/or student leaders must call (585) 275-9465.

Non-UR Groups: Call (585) 275-9465 for fees and availability. Requests must be made at least three weeks in advance.

Equipment: Recreational equipment is available on a daily basis. Softball equipment (bats, balls, and bases) and volleyball equipment (poles, balls and nets) are available for group use only and must be reserved in advance by calling (585) 275-7643 option #2. Present a valid UR ID at the Central Issue window to pick up equipment.

Locks: Lockers are available to rent in the Zornow Center and the Hajim Alumni Gym general locker rooms. One-year rental is available at $50 for a full-size locker and $40 for a half-size locker. Towel service is included. Rentals are accepted at the Information Desk. A limited number of day-use-only lockers are available in the hallways for personal use.

Food/Beverages: Located in the vending/concession area.

Smoking: Prohibited. The University is smoke-free.

Handicapped Accessibility: The entire Goergen Athletic Center is handicapped accessible. Contact the Information Desk at (585) 275-7643 (TTY) for additional information.

Security: Secure your valuables! The Department of Athletics and Recreation is not liable for loss.

Guests: Members may bring guests (16 years or older). Members are requested to accompany their guests at all times.
Students: $3.00/day
R-Club: $5.00/day

Parking: A parking permit is required to park on campus between 7:30am and 7pm, Monday - Friday. City metered parking is available along Wilson Boulevard. Contact the Parking Office at 275-3983 for further information.
