At Rochester:

• Lettered in soccer, basketball, and baseball in each of his four years, then earned one letter for golf
• Captained both the soccer and baseball teams as a senior
• Member of the Newman Club, German Club, and Delta Kappa Epsilon
• Elected to Mendicants
• Graduated from the University in 1941 with a B.A., emphasis on Pre-Med

Post-Graduate:

• Signed with the St. Louis Cardinals following graduation, but was drafted in the medical department of the U.S. Army for a one-year term
• Spent most of his time as a staff member of Medical Officer Candidate School in Abilene, TX
• Now works as a general insurance agent in Abilene, TX and was named Citizen of the Year in 1979
