Through five events, the University of Rochester men’s swimming and diving team is deadlocked with Case Western Reserve at 63 while trailing NYU by just one (61-60). The second and final day of competition is Saturday.

The relay team of Kevin Howard, Chris Jensen, Colin Funai, and Wesley Hood finished second in the 200 yard medley relay with a time of 1:39.36. Hood swam the final leg in 22:31. Evan Jones kicked off individual competition with a first place finish in the mixed 1650 yard freestyle (17:43.61). Vince Ness (18:30.52) finished third in the same race.

Elliot Lasher finished first place in the one meter dive with a final score of 197.70.
