Norton Finishes in Top Half at NCAA Championship

Rochester runner Lauren Norton finished in the top half at the NCAA Division III Cross Country Championship in Cleveland, Ohio. Norton completed the race in 23:41.3, good for 107th place out of 280 competitors. [read more]

Lang and Norton Honored By UAA After NYSCTC Championship

Junior Brian Lang and sophomore Lauren Norton were selected by the UAA as Athlete of the Week for their respective performances at the 2009 New York State Collegiate Track Conference Cross Country Championships this past weekend.

Norton finished fifth individually out of 97 runners in the 5k race held at Genesee Valley Park. Her time of 18:51 was less than one minute off the lead. Norton helped Rochester earn third place in team competition.

Lang finished third individually out of 103 runners in the 8k race held at Genesee Valley Park. His time of 25:41 was just six seconds off the lead and two seconds behind the second place finisher. Lang helped Rochester earn second place in team competition. This is his second UAA Athlete of the Week selection this season (week ending 10/5).
