The junior, who won by scores of 6-2, 6-2, will take on Kathryn Schmidt of Carleton College tomorrow. Schmidt defeated top seed Lorne McManigle of Emory University 6-1, 2-6, 6-1 in the opening round of the consolation bracket.
With the split, Weiner improves her individual record to 19-2 on the season. She is undefeated (4-0) in dual matches and 15-2 in tournament play. Her match with Schmidt will take place on Saturday at 11:00 am.
