Skevington cleared 5.32 meters and qualified for the ECAC Championships at Springfield (Mass.) College next week.
Jonelle Redhead and Yaneve Fonge finished 4-5 in the discus throw. Redhead's distance was 33.41 meters and Fonge's throw cleared 33.21 meters.
Running events were still in the preliminary stages late afternoon on Friday. In the 100 high hurdles, Jamie Landry qualified for ECACs (and the State finals) with a time of 15.85. Shanthi Chodagiri and Kenisha Smith both qualified for the finals in the 400. Chodagiri will be the top seed after running a 60.03. Smith ran a 63.11. Latoya Dunbar booked a spot at ECACs and in the finals of the 100 with a 12.42.
The women's 4x800 meter relay finished eighth overall in a time of 10:21.93. The relay competitors were Val Atwood, Nikita Bourque, Rebecca Zarett, and Heather Graham.
