November 17: Optional Biomaterials Characterization Workshop
November 17th, 2:00-5:00 PM, Characterization of Biomaterials Interactive Workshop in the SBI facilities including vendor demonstrations and product show.
Demonstrations and hands-on experience will be offered on a variety of instruments/techniques including the following:
- Atomic Force Microscopy
- Scanning Electron Microscopy
- Transmission Electron Microscopy
- Fluorescent Microscopy
- Differential Scanning Calorimetry
- Thermogravimetric Analysis
- High Performance Liquid Chromatography
- Automated Cell Counting
- Protein Gel Electrophoresis
- Flexcell Cell Stretching Apparatus
- Rheology
November 18: Biomaterials Day
Abstracts considered for oral and poster presentations are due by November 9.
The goal of the one day symposium will be to highlight research in the Upstate New York region focused on the development of Interactive Biomaterials that are biocompatible and elicit desired responses when interfaced with biological tissues.
