Using Paste from Word

Copying text from an MS Word document is a convenient way to move your text to a Blackboard text input box, but it can also cause very serious problems. While it looks like you're just copying text, the copy will bring with it lots of formatting code, which may produce unexpected results.

Whenever you want to copy text from Word to a Blackboard text box, use the Paste from Word tool:

  1. Copy your text from your MS Word document
  2. Switch to Blackboard in your browser
  3. In the Blackboard text input box, click the mashup icon (in the third row of icons) and choose Paste from Word
