Undergraduate Research

As a major research institution, the University actively encourages primary research by undergraduates in the natural sciences, engineering, the social sciences, and humanities. Opportunities for doing hands-on, professionally supervised research in fields as diverse as organic chemistry and medieval history are open to qualified students, both within regular courses and in special independent projects during the regular school year and in summer.
