Asian Pacific American Heritage Family Day

This year's event is subtitled "Harmony and Balance" and features a 2:30 pm. Tribute to Asian Elders awards ceremony honoring three members of the community. Other activities throughout the afternoon include:

* "Make it and take it" art activities for children

* Live music and dance by performers from China, Hawaii, India, Indonesia,

Korea, Pakistan, the Philippines and Vietnam, and by Gallery Kauai

* Yoga, karate, tai chi, tae kwan do, ikebana and kimono dressing

demonstrations

* Storytelling by Howard Edmonds

* Talks on bonsai and acupuncture

* Cultural displays
