The University of Rochester’s Gwen M. Greene Career and Internship Center helps students and alumni realize their full academic and professional potential by educating and empowering them. We do so, in part, by facilitating innovative connections and partnerships between the University and the community at large.
At the center we provide:
- Counseling and coaching support for careers and internships, as well as volunteer and research opportunities
- Advising services for those interested in graduate and professional school
- Networking events and opportunities for undergraduate students, graduate students, alumni, and employers
Our advisors have specialized expertise in a range of subject areas and disciplines. They aid your career development and advancement by equipping you with practical knowledge (from resume writing to interviewing) and innovative strategies (such as building your personal brand and harnessing the University’s alumni network).
Whether you’re an undergraduate student beginning your internship search or an employer looking to hire University of Rochester talent, we can help you articulate and meet your specific career-related goals.
To provide ever-better career and internship planning, coaching, programming and academically linked career counseling; as well as employer relations services and graduate and professional school advising for students and alumni.

“Thanks to incredible support from the University of Rochester, I was able to have the best college experience imaginable. Since my graduation, it has been my dream and goal to give back to the University. I credit this institution with everything good that has happened in my life.” – Gwen M. Greene ’65
For more than 20 years, Gwen Greene has been a passionate and loyal supporter of the University, serving on the Board of Trustees, generously providing scholarships and internships, and personally mentoring those whose lives she touches.
Through her extraordinary generosity, the University is enhancing its career service offerings, including career counseling, graduate and pre-professional school advising, and networking opportunities for students and alumni. In 2011, the University named the Gwen M. Greene Career and Internships Center in recognition of her leadership and support.
