Alumni Career Services Mission

The University of Rochester Career Center is committed to a comprehensive model of alumni career services.

We will:

Provide counseling and consultation in person, by email or by phone for recent graduates, young alumni and experienced alumni; focusing on goal articulation, job search strategy development and implementation, and on effective self-initiated job search efforts.

Through our web site, provide information on varied fields of interest to traditional liberal arts, engineering and science majors, offer links to posting sites, and guide users through steps required for job search and graduate school admissions success.

Host regional student-to-alum and alum-to-alum networking events off-campus and manage a networking database that allow alumni to interact with other alumni in order to gain information, consideration, and referrals.

Offer on-line resources for job postings, resume collections, as well as graduate school information.

Regularly conduct off-campus seminars explaining our services to alumni and teaching them to maximize use our on-line and counseling resources.
