Name: Krista Wentworth Job/Grad School: Resource Development Assistant at PENCIL, Inc. Majors/Minors While At UR: Psychology (Major), Religion (Major) and Anthropology (Minor) Brief Description of What You Do: PENCIL is as Non-Profit organization that builds and supports customized relationships between business and school leaders to transform public schools. While I work with the New York City program, where we have nearly 365 partnerships, we also have affiliate programs in Rochester, N.Y. and Baltimore, M.D. Here, I support the Development and Recruitment teams at PENCIL by carrying out volunteer recruitment and fundraising projects as well as assisting in the outreach efforts to expand successful partnership and give public school students the educational opportunities they so richly deserve. Previous Internships/Research Experience That Helped Get the Job/Grad School Appointment: I worked in the Gift & Donor Records office at the Office of Alumni & Advancement and at Strong Memorial Hospital in the Memory Disorder’s Clinic as an office assistant. I also believe that my study abroad experience as well as summer experience working with children with special needs made a difference.
