Job/Grad School: Master of Theological Studies at Harvard Divinity School, Comparative Studies concentration.
Majors/Minors While At UR: Religion Major. I was also a declared Music major at one point, but I eventually dropped it take more religion classes. I still love music.
Brief Description of What You Do: I chose Comparative Studies at Harvard Divinity School because it both allows me to study my primary interest in Goddess traditions in Hinduism and my fascination with mythology throughout religious traditions and its significance.
Previous Internships/Research Experience That Helped Get the Job/Grad School Appointment: I wrote a thesis, which, I believe, prepared me most thoroughly for graduate studies in terms of both research strategies and getting a feel for the workload.
Clubs/Activities You Were Involved In While At UR: Senator at-Large in the Students’ Association, Residential Advisor, Freshman Fellow, 2010 Class Council, Rochester Intercollegiate Council Chairperson, Summer Orientation Leader, Editor-In-Chief of Messenger Magazine, Alpha Phi Omega, Association for the Development of Interest in the Indian Subcontinent
Any Other Interesting Details You Would Like To Share: Advice from various professors in the Religion and Classics department was invaluable. Their obvious passion for their subject inspired me. My thesis and major advisor, Professor Douglas Brooks, especially supported me both throughout my undergraduate studies and the application process.
